Sisters Glass Art

Sisters Glass Art is the passion of sisters Laurie and Beth who both share an excitement for creating with glass. During a girl’s weekend with their mom and sisters’, Laurie and Beth took a fused glass class. They immediately fell in love with the process. Over the course of several years, they have taken a variety of classes, watched tutorials and have done a lot of experimenting.

“One of the great things about working with fused glass is there are so any techniques that I feel like I am constantly learning. I am truly blessed to have an amazing family that supports my passion”-Laurie

“Working with glass is such a rich medium! Each piece is a unique play of colors, transparency versus opaqueness and light interacting as in a dance. My enthusiasm for fused glass grows as I learn more daily. Opening the kiln each day, is like unwrapping a gift!”-Beth

Laurie and Beth have always been drawn to glass. For many years they have created glass art in various forms including mosaics and stained glass. However, they have now devoted their time specifically to fused glass. Beth was one of the Resident Artists at the NWTC Artisan Center in 2022 in the fused glass program. She and her husband have combined their loves of glass and travel. Beth has found inspiration at Bullseye Glass in Portland, Oregon, The Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, Gaudi’s work in Barcelona, Spain and a weeklong course with Miriam Di Fiore in Mornico, Italy.

Both Laurie and Beth now live in Suamico, Wisconsin and sell their artwork at Art events in Northeast Wisconsin and through a display room in Beth’s home. Laurie has created a space in her home where they now offer small group classes. They enjoy sharing this passion with one another and the people they meet!
